NBPT

N-(n-butyl)-thiophosphoric triamide

CAS Number: 94317-64-3;

Other names:
NBPT; NBTPT

NBPT is highly effective and non-toxic as a soil urease inhibitor, and the final decomposition products in the soil are mainly ammonium, sulphate and phosphate.

Content: ≥97%
Melting point: 56-60°C

Product characteristics

  • Urea is quickly broken down into ammonia by urease in the soil, and the gas-phase loss of ammonia results in a urea utilisation rate of only 30% to 40%, with a short fertilisation period.
  • Soil urease inhibitor can effectively slow down the process of urea decomposition into ammonia, prolong the fertiliser effect, synchronise soil fertiliser supply and crop fertiliser demand, and improve the utilisation rate of nitrogen fertiliser.
  • Soil urease inhibitors can reduce the toxicity of high concentrations of nitrogen to crop seeds and seedlings.
  • Soil urease inhibitor is used for long-lasting fertiliser, mainly used in field crops and some long growing period of fruit trees, corn, wheat and so on.
