Ethylenediaminetetra(methylenephosphonic acid), abbreviated EDTMPA.
EDTMP is an organophosphine chelating agent (sequestering agent, complexing agent), scale and corrosion inhibitor for water treatment.
Uses
EDTMP and its sodium salt are commonly used in circulating cool water treatment, boiler water treatment, cleaning and detergent, electronic chemicals, textile auxiliaries and other fields.
Technical data
EDTMP is white crystalline powder at room temperature, slightly soluble in water, soluble in ammonia.
EDTMPS sodium salts is often provided in liquid form.
