Didecyldimethylammonium Chloride (DDAC) is a cationic surfactant, belongs to double-chain quaternary ammonium compounds.
Uses
DDAC is widely used in cosmetic ingredients, antistatic agents, hair conditioning agents, oilfield drilling biocide, industrial cooling water algaecide, cleaning and disinfection, wood antiseptic and so on.
Properties
DDAC is soluble with inorganic and nonionic surfactants, but cannot be used with anionic surfactants.
DDAC is very soluble in water and ethanol, and can be used as an independent active component, but also with benzalkonium chloride, ethanol, PHMG, PHMB, glutaraldehyde, iodine and so on, the use of synergistic complex.
